Course Description
This course helps students develop their English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for everyday adult situations and essential family, social, and school purposes. Students read short texts,
write about various topics introduced in class, and actively participate in class discussions. The class is taught using a student-centered,
communicative approach to English language learning.
The goal of this course is to develop students’ ability to understand simple written and spoken English, as well as build their confidence in understanding basic spoken English on familiar and personal language. Lastly. students will gain a better understanding of American culture and conventions.
